Saying that Albanians don’t have an innate propensity for mafia activity is a bit of a stretch. As a Serb, all I can say is that England deserved each and every one of them — and more.

Agreement on Albanians.

To be fair though, Serbs are often the only European ethnicity (if we count out Albanians) that are represented in the violent crime statistic of foreigners in western Europe. ;)

What about China (its Han core is still around 97%), Japan and Korea? I'm not well versed in their history, but all three seem like they have lacked the ethnic niches, specialised religious business-minorities or caste-systems that have bedeviled MENA, India and large swathes of Eastern Europe for most of their history.

South Asians are visibly a factor in Japan's convenient store sector. I'd be surprised if they weren't organized along those same ethic lines the article describes.

This is what happens when americans assume liberalism is neutral and universal. It isn't. While may frown on nepotism and anti-merotocratic cronyism, they consider it proper and in line with their ancestral kinship structures that have defined their civilizations for millennia.

Idea: rotating floodgate immigration. Every year, we rotate which country we have open borders with. China gets 1 year, then India, then Mexico... We rotate this on a 100 year basis so that immigrants have time to assimilate and do not get "refed" with new fodder from the old country.

I strogly disagree with the characterization of "cottage industry" as inferior to Big E. Springfield Inside contracting, German and Italian export enterprises and the Clarkian selection itself show that SME have huge comparative advantages, even in IQ selection (Frost "Second cognitive retreat: the Era of Industrial Capitalism" https://www.anthro1.net/p/adapting-to-an-environment-of-their)

Is this a repost? I could swear I read something exactly the same last week but am unsure if it was on this substack, or another.

Nevermind. I just found where it was posted previously with attribution to you.
